Remember and Crossings, for any instrument and electronics (2010)

I met Stuart Saunders Smith during the summer of 2006 and spent the next three years begging for a solo with live electronics. In an afternoon (and a sudden spark of inspiration), four years later, Remember and Crossings was sketched at the table of an Indian restaurant on a rainy Baltimore afternoon; a collection of graphic cells and phrases linked to found instruments and found electronics; an absolute blending of electronic and found sounds; a guided improvisation; a delightfully playful game of chasing sounds from electronic to acoustic and back.
